Warranty

JOISTRIP Pty Ltd warrants that the Joistrip flashing is free from defects for a period of
20 years from the purchase date, and will not split or deteriorate from UV exposure, decking stains, decking oils, decking cleaners, pool chlorines and salts, any other chemical or treatment innocuous to EPDM based components/polymers when used under timber decks. Subject to the conditions of warranty set out below, if Joistrip deteriorates so as to render it unfit to provide protection against water penetrating the top of the external floor joists within the warranty period and JOISTRIP Pty Ltd is notified within the warranty period, JOISTRIP Pty Ltd will repair or replace the Joistrip free of charge.
Conditions of Warranty
- The buyer must retain proof of the date and place of purchase.
- Failure of Joistrip must not be due to misuse or improper installation.
- The buyer must regularly inspect the Joistrip to detect moisture underneath the Joistrip, and that the Joistrip is not in contact with slow releases or spillage of chemical and if so remove all traces of the chemical.
- The failure must not be due to failure to inspect, or inadequate or improper maintenance of Joistrip.
Qualified Exclusion
The law implies terms, conditions and warranties (“prescribed term”) into contracts for the supply of goods and prohibits the exclusion, restrictions or modification of certain terms, conditions and warranties. Other than prescribed terms which cannot be excluded all other warranties express or implied and whether arising by virtue of statute or otherwise are hereby excluded.
Some prescribed terms permit a manufacturer or supplier to limit its liability for a breach of the prescribed terms. Except where excluded by the prescribed terms the liability of JOISTRIP Pty Ltd for a breach of the prescribed terms relating to the product or part thereof is limited at the option of JOISTRIP Pty Ltd to the replacement or repair of the Joistrip thereof or payment of the cost of repairing or replacing the Joistrip or any part thereof.
