A Versatile Product
 Deck
and verandah construction varies for a number of reasons, for example:
- A standard deck constuction consists of the joist resting on
top of the pole plates, bearers or beams. With this method the
decking boards rest only on top of the joists.
- To gain that extra headroom, the alternative is to butt the
joists into the pole plate and beam where they all finish flush
on top. The decking now rests on and is fixed to all three members.
With this method there are three structural members and all butt
joints to protect.
Joistrip Successfully protects both methods.
The
option to remove the wings and legs
from the Joistrip flashing is a unique feature
that offers versatility.
Several different profiles can be created simply by tearing off
the wing(s) or
leg(s), as illustrated. This means that Joistrip
is adaptable to varying construction methods and maintains maximum
protection.
